| I find the first utterly obnoxious. The second one drives me up the wall, so neither are good. It's one thing if a person is a bit shy, but outside of that, they need to be part of the conversation, not BE the conversation or just listen. | |

| The quiet person probably makes a worse date, if only by a little. Because it is so awkward. But ultimately the quiet person is probably the preferable one, because she/he may just need to open up more. You already know all you need to know about the constant talker. You're right, neither make a good date! |

| I hate quiet people, it just leaves these akward silences I think I have to fill with nonsense. I would rather someone who can't stop talking, hopefully if you give them enough time they will switch around to a topic you can stand. | |

| I have learned that if you can be silent with someone, without feeling like you have to fill the silences, then that is preferable than always being talked at or to. I would not want someone who always talks about themselves...too self-centered/egotistical like they are the only ones important. | |
