| With millions of workers being laid off, a new set of dating challenges has come along for many men. Being unemployed is a turn-off for many women, not to mention having the money to pay for dates can be a problem. Losing one's job also deals a blow to one's self-esteem. Maybe the good people of this forum can offer advice to men trying to attract women while between jobs. Or suggest cheap dates that don't seem like "cheap dates". What dating advice would you offer the unemployed? |

i would say let them let the woman know, and if she is ok with corny dates, i would say a homemade picnic in a park or a stroll on a boardwalk. movies at friends's houses and at ur house are also really nifty, and rentals at blockbuster are only a dollar. :) ![]() |

| Also, a walk in the park or strolling while window shopping just to spend time together are well-received. Most, qualified because there are those who are shallow, women understand the challenges that guys face because we have been facing them a lot longer. My parents first three dates were to Shoneys for cups of coffee. My dad has told me that he knew mom was the one after the first date. He couldn't afford more than the cups of coffee. Keep trying guys! There are plenty of women who are worth the time to let them know that you are between jobs. We won't cut you down for something that cannot be helped. Lots of love, laughter, smiles, and prayers... | |

| lol u guys are too cute when are u gonna get pictures? thats such a cute story singing. i met a really awesome guy a week ago and we chilled alone a t a park till 4 in the morning and i knew i would be so happy. i am, but he needs to not be in a relationship right now (thats not just an excuse, its actually true. i know cuz i have seen it) cuz he has a crapola ton on his plate, but we still kiss and cuddle and hug and i havent been this happy in a long time. all we can afford to do is go to our town center and walk around and chill. blockbuster, like i said, has rentals for only a dollar, so we do that too. its great. men, do not give up. this is actually me in the picture, and while i am not gorgeous or hot or sexy, im still girl next door cute i think, if that doesnt sound too concieted, and u can get really pretty girls, prettier than me (not hard to do or find, actually) if u show them u are willing to put time into a relationship, even if u have no mu-lah. he and i enjoy eachothers company cuz we can see past it. find a woman who is pretty and can see past it and u have a keeper, if u are shallow and wont date not as pretty girls who are already over that fact. no offense. wow this has been like my longest post ever, except the essay, and that was pre-written. i just copied and pasted |

| We like what you have to say Arwen... but on my pic, not so easy. I don't have any copied to the computer yet but got the equipment to get to it when I have time. And Arwen is right, guys, time means more than any amount of money in the long run. Good luck with your new guy Arwen, sounds like a keeper for the long haul. | |
